On November 25, 2019 (Monday) at 09:00 am, the 30th anniversary symposium of the International Society of the Built Environment (ISBE) was successfully held at the Zhongda courtyard of the College of Architecture, Southeast University. The conference has 13 participants including Prof. Chuck Yu, Editor-in-Chief of SCI Journal Indoor and Built Environment (IBE) and President of ISBE, Prof. Shi-jie Cao, who is the Associate Editor-in-Chief of IBE and President of ISBE, Prof. Zhang Tong, Dean of School of Architecture, Prof. Ge Ming, Vice Dean of School of Architecture, Prof. Chen Wei and Prof. Yang Junyan of School of Architecture, and Prof. Luo Xilian of Xi'an Jiaotong University. 



The leaders of the School of Architecture expressed a warm welcome to the ISBE members and their delegation, and the two sides had an in-depth discussion on the future cooperation planning and long-term development goals, and determined the main directions of future cooperation. Both sides emphasized the diversified goals of building a platform for cutting-edge research and practice exploration in architecture disciplines through cooperation.

At the same time, Prof. Chuck Yu, President of ISBE, gave an academic lecture titled "Indoor Air Quality Evaluation in Sustainable Buildings" to the participating teachers and students. The lecture illustrated the main features of sustainable human living environment and discussed the future green building evaluation and development strategies by comparing the building environment and indoor air quality evaluation systems of different countries such as the United States, Europe, Hong Kong, Korea and Singapore. The conference was successfully concluded by a lively discussion among many ISBE professors, participating teachers and students.
